Australia is on tour of West Indies for a two-test series, their only test matches before the ever crucial Ashes Series 2015.
This is for the first time since it started in 1960-61, that the Test series between Australia and West Indies known as the Frank Worrell Trophy will be a two-Test affair. It has been over 20 years now that West Indies have won a Test against Australia in the Frank Worrell Trophy. The last West Indies won was way back in 1992-93, when they were at the prime of their game.
The Test series is not going to be easy for Denesh Ramdin and his boys against the side led by experienced Michael Clarke. The Aussies will be even stiffer an opposition since they will be aiming to reach full throttle before the Ashes starting in July. Moreover, the world champions would be eying to meet good form in Test cricket after their domination in One Day Internationals.
Team composition
Australian team comprises of almost the similar faces that we saw at the world cup, only that debutant Adam Voges and opener Shaun Marsh (replacement for the veteran opener, Chris Rogers) will make appearance in the team that will be carrying some kind of winning momentum into the first test.
Under the leadership of wicketkeeper, captain Denesh Ramdin, the West Indies squad looks formidable. There are some big names missing, but the team has the strength to give the Australian’s a run for their money.
