Bangladesh reminded the world of their growing strength at home by giving India nervous moments, beating her in the series. However, India somehow managed to prevent clean sweep by winning a match out of three.

With their team efforts and mind blowing performance of the new comers, Bangladesh played really well and finally took the winning trophy at home.

Let’s take a quick recap of this magnificent series:

1st ODI dated on June 18, 2015 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur. Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat. With 5 wickets at just 50 runs, Bangladesh’s left arm pacer-Mustafizur Rahman ‘catched’ the match completely and helped the team to earn victory by 79 runs.

2nd ODI was held on June 21. It was a great chance for India to take over the match to secure its ‘Series Win’. However, Bangladesh produced a clinical performance with the ball and backed it up with the bat to claim an outstanding six-wicket win beating India. Rahman (6-43) was once again the ‘Star of the Match’, picking up back-to-back five wicket haul. With this, he became the first debut bowler to take 11 wickets in just first two matches.

3rd ODI With Bangladesh’s win in the 2nd ODI match, the series was already in the hands of Bangladesh. Still, the 3rd ODI pulled the minds of the audience and the players as whether it would be a clean sweep for Indians or they’d make it for one, atleast.

India was lucky to get the opportunity to bat first, although the toss was won by Bangladesh. India scored 317 runs against Bangladesh in 50 overs, losing 6 wickets. In the counter innings, Bangladesh could not chase the score and all out on 240 in 47 overs.

Suresh Raina won the ‘Match of the match’ trophy for bagging 3 wickets. Finally, India crashed Bangladesh by 77 runs and avoided series whitewash.
