Pre-match Analysis of Pakistan vs. Ireland World Cup 2015
When Pakistan take on Ireland in match 42 of Pool B at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday, they will relive the haunting memories of the 2007 world cup, where the Irish brigade stunned them in a group match. Pakistan will be looking to make up for the humiliating loss, while Ireland would love to rampage Pakistan yet again.
Sunday Match 15 is a super Sunday, if you may like, as two remaining quarterfinal positions will be decided on the day between Ireland, Pakistan and West Indies.
All three teams have a good chance to make it into the quarterfinals and all the three teams are going to be in action on Sunday. West Indies will be looking for a win over UAE, while both Ireland and Pakistan would be wanting to come out as winners at Adelaide.
Pakistan will be the favorites in the game against Ireland, while the formidable Irish squad will be looking to show a stiff bat to the might Pakistani bowling attack. Pakistan have an all-in-all chance to make it into the quarterfinals, but Ireland have an uphill task and lots of mathematics involved.
If Ireland win, they clearly qualify. But if Ireland lose and West Indies wins, then Ireland are out. Same in case of Pakistan (if they lose and West Indies win). However, if UAE defeat West Indies, then both Pakistan and Ireland go through but that is quite unlikely.
