India vs. Australia 2nd Semifinal ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Match Preview
The second semi-final match is one of the most awaited battles of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. India didn’t just defeat, but also bowled out all of the teams they played against. Still, Australia has enjoyed dominance in the World Cup tournaments with three consecutive victories until India broke its momentum in 2011.
Talking of performance of players, Indian bowlers are on fire. Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Mohit Sharma have performed to the expectation of the skipper. Shami’s line and length is destructive for any rival. Both openers, Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Shama, are spitting fire with bat. Kohali has already shown Aussie bowlers what he has got when he hit three tons during the test series just before the World Cup. On the other hand, Indian batsmen will be haunted by Wahab Riaz. However, the side has Xavier Doherty as their only specialist spinner. In that case, Australia will be banking on spinning skills of part-time spinners, Michael Clarke, Glen Maxwell and Steve Smith. The batting side is balanced. The match will be more about spinners.
The match will be played on March 26 at Sydney Cricket Ground. The pitch is tailored to favor the spinners, which could be an advantage for India.
As per news, 70% seats at SCG are already bought by Indian fans, which is a small clue hinting at India’s victory on Thursday.
